Just wanted to let everyone know of a really simple and easy dynamic DNS service I found. I looked all over for a simple solution...cjb.net, dnydns.org or whatever...all seemed rather cumbersome...but this one was a snap.
http://www.technopagan.org/dynamic/dragon.php?i=93
just download the client..install...setup an account thru the client software (no webforms and e-mail confirmation hooplah). There is a good walk-thru for setup on the link above. Works great for those with internal and external IP problems. Also has a great option to foward your URL to any other site on the net in the event that your server is down due to maintenance, restart, etc. Very very nice service/program IMO.
Hope this helps those with the same problems I had. Sorry if it's already been posted.
P.S. The only lame part about it...you can't configure the client to look at a specific port, so if you're using anything other than 80, you have to add the port to the end of your URL...example http://yourname.xdisk.co.uk:81/

I got a 404 error when I tried to go to that URL. What is the name of the service or program you're using, and where did you get it?
Please advise with specifics. Thanks. :) _________________ DLashley |

I also got a 404. The name of the service would be nice to know. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
