This is for all the people that cant keep the same LAN IP address, and want to make it into a static IP address (meaning it always will be the same).

1. Figure out what you want your LAN IP address to be.
2. Open up "Control Panel".
3. Click on "Switch to classic view".
4. Open up "Network Connections".
5. Right click on your LAN connnection.
6. Click on "Properties".
7. Click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
8. Click on "Properties".
9. Click on "Use the following IP address".
**If you dont know one of the following address, see below**
10. For the IP address, type in what you want your IP address for that computer to be.
11. For the Subnet mask, enter the subnet mask of your router
12. For the default gateway, enter the IP address of your router.
13. For the "Preferred DNS server", enter the IP address of your router.
14. Click on "OK".
15. Click on "OK" agian.
16. Restart your computer just to make sure.

And thats it. Your IP address should now stay the same.

**If you dont know what the subnet mask or default gateway is**

Subnet mask::
Click this to find out what a subnet mask is. Note this is usally 255.255.
255.0 on most routers.

IP address::
If you dont know what your IP address, dont attempt this at all, because this is all about IP address. Click this to find out what an IP address is.

Default Gateway::
This is the IP address of what your router is. Click this to find out what a default gateway is.

Or instead of looking around at the tutorials, just go to the command prompt, type "ipconfig -all," and get all the information you need from there... hehe...

Just thought it may be a little easier.
