HI
I have the same problem most people do. No one can access me web server. I had it running fine when I had a straight usb connection, but now im using a router and it just doesnt want to know. I have set the NAT but the site can only be accessed via the third party proxy website.
My router is a thomson speedtouch 510 v4. It has a built in firewall, could that be the problem?. if so what do I have to do.
Thanks in advance

It seems that the firewall is the problem. Try to use port forwarding to forward port 80 to your internal ip. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

I had the same problem with my router and I think my ISP blocks port 80 so i fowarded port 8080 and it works fine now. |

I was wondering because I hear of all these ISPs blocking port 80, but I've never known specifically which ones. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

yea some one needs to map out which IP's block port 80 lol. Cox sells webhosting plans so i think thats why they do that. |

Dont you have the phone number of your provider?
If there is somting going wrong or i want to know somting i just call 0801000 and thay give me the anser (Its free to call).Im whith SiOL they provide the fastest conection in Slovenia 8 Mb/s (i have only 1 MB/s becose its the cheapest)
You have to tell the router on which computer to sent the reqest from the WAN
If you have a firewall make it not to block your server port _________________ My site berni.myvnc.com |
