Ok, here's the deal what do I have to change in my php.ini to be able to upload large files about 1gig max.

I have tried some different settings but all have failed the max I have uploaded was up to 120 something. I need to be able to upload to 1gig max though.

Please help me out, It is very important!

I think what you need to do is increase the amount of time it takes for a script to time out..

T_Clauss,

Yes, you should increase the time PHP can spend reading this posted file by changing max_input_time value in php.ini (if you set it to 0, it will be unlimited).

I really don't see the need for a progress bar.

If someone's uploading a file that's a gig in size you don't see the need for a progress bar ?!

Either way, ftp is the way to go here, http uploads and huge files are a receipe for disaster and annoyance...
