you need to forward port 80 in your router to your local IP.
not sure how usrobotics setup is but i bet their website will show you how to forward ports.
if that doesnt work try port 86 or some other number in case your ISP is blocking ports

My system is set up with a US Robotics router. You need to setup a virtual server.

To do this log in on the config page (could be 192.168.123.254).
Then, chose the virtual server option.
In this view you will see several text boxes in the labled IP Address enter the ending of your IP Address (eg: 143). In the last box enter the port you want to forward too and tick the active check box.

At the bottom of the screen click save followed by reboot.

I’ve descried this to you from memory; I will post a screen dump of my config when I get home.

You have it setup correctly , use your network IP to finish that
last form field , to get your network IP Address , double click on the
and click on
properties and go to TCP/IP and click on properties again and you will
see your network IP , if you don't , you have to set one up , it looks like
this 192.168.1.3 (3 is the last number you would use)

that box is for the IP address you want to forward port 80 connections to.

to find the ip address of that pc go to the following page in your router:
    DHCP server > clients list

should give you the ip address that you want

I don?t think he?ll be able to get his ip address that way. For a US Robotics network to operate correctly the router has to assign an ip address to the computer, the computer can?t assign one to it?s self.

Also I think that all USR networks use this ip format: 192.168.123.143.xxx, he will need to look in his DHCP clients list on the router config to get the correct ip address.

if you use port 8080 in abyss, then your router's virtual server also needs port 8080 setup to allow incoming requests to be sent to your computer with abyss installed in it.
