|
|
I have seen examples of php, sql and so forth, on how to recognize dns wildcards. Example of wildcard im talking about is:
here1.mysite.hopto.org
here2.mysite.hopto.org
with the main site url as mysite.hopto.org
My question is (since im not a coding genius) is there an html or java way to recognize these wildcards, so they will redirect to a specific page or directory on my site?
Thanks in advance... |

I'm not trying to be difficult, but i am absolutely CLUELESS when it comes to pearl, php and so on. Even if i had a clue about php, the link you posted gave no example that showed me that the following result could be achieved:
Typed in browser <http://subsite1.myurl.no-ip.com> = sub directory at my site
Typed in browser <http://subsite2.myurl.no-ip.com> = another sub directory at my site
I know java and html coding, so if there is an alternative in that direction, please point me there...
Also, i did try to install and start to learn php, but abyss help files fell way short of explaining how to configure it correctly. The result, i couldnt get the easiest of scripts to work. Just an endless sea of error messages. I was even confused on the requirements.
Sorry to be such a newbee... |
