I am the noob of noobs at this and basically have no idea what im doing. I would like to be able to somehow get Perl on my server so that I can run movable type on my server. Any help would be appreciated! |

you would probably need mysql if it starts on about data bases check out the tutorials section here at abyss and read the improved mysql tutorial |

MT can run without a database as it can store the data in a file (using Perl::DB_File). _________________ Support Team

If you mean any section of instructions that refer to chmod for changing permissions, ignore them. You don't need to/can't chmod on Windows. |
