I am running windows98se and I tried to install PHP support for the HTTP server but it just didnt work, i followed the instructions exactly, on this page... http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php.html. When i pointed my browser to the php page nothing comes up.

<html><head><title>PHP Test</title></head>
<body>
<?php echo "Hello World<p>"; ?>
</body></html>

Thats the code that i get in my browser when i view the source, this is identical to the code of the .php file itself.

What do i do?!?!! :?:

Are you sure that php extension is configured to be handled by your PHP executable ? Is the / path declared as a CGI Path.
Please follow EXACTLY the instructions we procided and all will work fine (as thousands of people did up to now).

please help, when I tryed installing my phpbb board this is what i got:

Quote:
Security Alert! The PHP CGI cannot be accessed directly.
This PHP CGI binary was compiled with force-cgi-redirect enabled. This means that a page will only be served up if the REDIRECT_STATUS CGI variable is set, e.g. via an Apache Action directive.

For more information as to why this behaviour exists, see the manual page for CGI security.

For more information about changing this behaviour or re-enabling this webserver, consult the installation file that came with this distribution, or visit the manual page.

Please someone help!!!!! :!:

Please install PHP following our guideline at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php.html .
If you have browsed a little bit our web site, you would have saved hours waiting for help :wink: So think about reading the documentation or searching old posts in the forum when you face a problem.
