.cgi - .pl problem

when I try to run my news board news.cgi. It allways goes to a download screen asking me to save the file. Is there any way to fix this?

Make sure you installe the intrpetuer and asigned the script extentions (cgi pl) corectly.

Follow the instructions at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/perl.html and declare cgi extension as handled by the Perl interpreter (same thing as pl extension).

intrpetuer? what's that? and my pl extensions also try to download. as wall as my index.php file which I am trying to use as my index file. ans what is a 200 error?

You can't run a webserver as you run a game (just point and click). Please read the documentation especially if you are not familiar with webservers.
Go to also to http://www.aprelium.com/abysswe and read pages about how to add perl or php support. All is there.
