Hi,
I am running Abyss webserver over my DSL connection, and my computer is connected to the internet using a Belkin Wired router. I have the IP for the port 80 redirect, and I have told it to allow the connection. However, when I use my DYNDNS account, or my IP, it doesn't work. How can I fix this? Also, I can access the site using http://localhost and http://127.0.0.1, but nothing else.

webmaster961,
People from outside must use your router external IP to access your computer/server. But when you use this IP from inside your computer, it won't work. This external IP is only available for external accesses.
So can you test it from the outside? _________________ Support Team

I tried it from the outside, and it still didn't work. I set up the virtual server, and opened the port, and it still didn't work. _________________ Webmaster961 - Admirals Clan Webmaster/Postmaster |

webmaster961,
Please read http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/faq.html#A1-2 . Information there may help locating the origin of the problem.
Try for example changing the external port on your router if your ISP is blocking port 80. If you have XP, diable its firewall for Abyss's port (usually 80). _________________ Support Team
