ok, ive seen a million of threads with people with the same problem.. i read all of them and, have tryed my best to fix it with out posting, but im bout to break down and cry... can someone help me... well, i cant even connect on my computer (to 68.44.50.172), but i can see the page 127.0.0.1 ... so, how come it aint workin for the 68.44.etc... ip? and, yeh, that is my ip... some one help plz
P.S.
IVE TRYED THAT LINKSYS TUTORIAL POSTED EVERYWHERE (THE EMAIL ONE)... AND THAT CRAP AINT WORK FOR ME!!

my ip: 68.44.50.172 (got it from the "ip-getter" provided by abyss)
router: linksys (wireless router)

both ports 8080 and 8000
and i turned off the windows xp firewall |

On your own computer, you will not be able to use the internet IP of your router to test the connection - most routers will not route traffic directly back onto the local network, so when you use the internet IP from inside the network it will just time out. If you need to test it, use an external proxy like www.guardster.com
Sounds like you haven't opened / forwarded the port on your router properly to your machine - tried connecting to your router on 80,8000 and 8080 and got refused a connection to all 3, although you may have been offline... |

lol, im now quite gettin wat yout sayin...
your sayin i cant use my ip adress to see my website while in my network?
so, that means you would be able to see my website using that ip?
well, can you see my website threw that ip? |

Maybe I can help , if you did all that their maybe only one problem , Go to
Advanced - > Filters on your linksys setup page , and do the following
SPI: Disabled (If not disabled disable it)
Block WAN Request: Disable (Why block your WAN IP)
This may be of help to you and if this still doesn't help , contact linksys by Phone and they will be more than happy to help you. 8) _________________ This web server is the best ! |
