i installed perl under c:\program files\abyss web server\perl (have since uninstalled) and my path was:

!#usr/local/bin/perl/

try it, if not muck about with that - it should be some variation :)

If you're talking about a script you install which ask for your path to perl simply enter your system path to it. "C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe " should work if the script is optimized to run on windows.

Play with it, if it is any different let us know. Good luck :)

If you install your Perl in C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe, your perl path is C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe (/usr/bin/perl is the path to perl in UNIX machines).
Anyway, you can ignore that line and those settings if you install Perl following our guidelines at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/perl.html .

you can also set the path to perl in the system area under xp.

i have done this in the past and it worked great , but lost all info when hard drive died 3 months ago.

now im using the new abyss x1 and starting from scratch again. forums are easy to setup....yabb and cutecast to name a few ....php and perl worked like a charm...as for mysql well thats new to me ....will get it going soon.

now content management systems like phpnuke etc.....look cool the web is getting easier by the day! no wonder hacking has gone wild everything is getting to easy!

hehe   8)
