I have a LinkSys Wireless B router with 4 ports..I am running a Abyss webserver on a computer on one of the physical ports. How do I access the website from inside my network?

Read the answer to the 2nd question in our FAQ at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/faq.html . You can also find a good tutorial on Linksys routers with Abyss at http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1662 .

Some/many/most routers do not support other computers on your own network accessing your Web server through the domain address (e.g., http://yourdomain.net).

I can suggest several solutions:
1. Use the private IP address of your Web server, e.g., http://192.168.0.101

2. Use "localhost" (e.g., http://localhost), if you have "localhost" mapped to 127.0.0.1 in your "hosts" file. This applies to accessing your Web site from the same computer the Web server is on.

3. Add an entry into your "hosts" file to map your domain address to the private IP address of your Web server (e.g., 192.168.0.101 yourdomain.net). You would do this on the other computers (other than the Web server computer) on your network. You should then be able to use http://yourdomain.net from those computers.

Hope this works for you.
