can you please help me in dumb peoples terms on how to install php on linux for abyss web server, the php documentation does not outline how to compile it for abyss, mostly for apache and httpd..... please help me It would be awesome. I use your server on an xp system also ;) installing php on windows is simple, its very different on linux :evil: |

my linux distro does not have php already compiled, and on php.net all they talk about is apache webserver. I need to know how to compile it on my box for abyss web server. I went to the collegelinux site (the people that make my distro) but I have not recieved a good response as to how to do this. Can you please help me out? I know Its a long shot question and you may not have the time to help me on this but if its possible at all I would be very greatful. |

Follow the instructions in the php documentation for compiling it as a CGI application. |

As AtomicKitchen said, read the PHP installation document (the INSTALL file in the source code package) and follow the instructions about compiling PHP as CGI.
To do that, you'll need to be at least familiar with the Linux shell. _________________ Support Team
