The expansion of aliased items (virtual directories) in URL Rewrite seems bugged. Will Aprelium be fixing this for the next Abyss release?

That is indeed weird and interesting.

If what you describe is accurate, this may well be a bug. In the meantime, I suggest you trap HTTP requests on NIC2 via your favorite firewall software.
