set your firewall up to forward the port (80) you are using for abyss to you local IP
to get a DNS name www.no-ip.com seems to be the favorite free place |

u dont need the one you downloaded
php comes with gdlib support.
open up your php.ini and uncomment the proper extension |

you need to forward port 80 in your router to your local IP.
not sure how usrobotics setup is but i bet their website will show you how to forward ports.

I use sygate personal firewall but I can only manually add in ip's and theres way to many.

some scripts will display errors (depending on how you have your error reporting levels set in PHP.ini) without it being a critical problem (ie an empty string).

if you havent tried turning
register_globals = On
in your php.ini file (prob in c:\windows\) try doing that. just remove the ; from the start of hte line |
