I got abyss, php, myphpadmin, sql running a phpbb board.
If I use localhost, it will load up quickly, just like any site. But if I try typing my domain address bbbguild.zapto.org it takes forever ... |

Did you have to re-install MySql or just make some changes?
We deleted e107 from htdocs. Then deleted the database from myphpadmin |

I went to DHCP.
Saw:
DHCP server: enabled
Starting IP address: 192.168.1.100
...
now when i changed the 100 to 101...boom..lost connection to the net..had to put it back to 100 ... |

Well, ISP should have nothing to do this. Because I hosted abyss and stuff on my other PC, and it was fine. So, I am guessing ISP is out of the way.

Have you suspected that your ISP (Cableone) is blocking port 80? That would make this behavior very explainable.

No. Free hosts are, in my experience, always slow because they overload their servers, and by a lot. MySQL hosts especially were slow. Any shared host is like this. I had hosting with Lycos UK at one ... |

Everyone says to check it if its running in on my Windows Task Manager. It is, mysqld-nt.exe. It is running... I am so lost. BTW, thanks for your finding. |
